pot bot operator looks to ride green wave
A “budtender” is slang for a cannabis dispensary employee responsible for helping customers choose the proper medicinal or recreational products, but the title may soon shift to “bot-tender.” greenbox Robotics, a Marina del Rey company founded in June 2017, wants to bring automation to the cannabis market by using a smart vending machine to dispense cannabis. Two dispensary operators have signed on to use the product so far, including Erba Collective in Santa Monica and another in Arizona. Customers select products via touch screen and a robotic arm can grabs the selected. A corresponding app provides an up-to-date menu of products in the kiosk for shoppers before entering a dispensary…
the world’s first cannabis vending machine has gone live
For those who’ve participated in the market for recreational and medical cannabis, it hasn’t always been easy to purchase products. Whether it’s on the street or at a legal dispensary, there’s been a risk of falling afoul of the law, dealing with inconsistent or disappearing suppliers, having to travel far to reach the closest dispensary, or spending excessive time in line or in a waiting room before finding your product. Have you or your friends ever wondered what it would be like to buy a disposable vape or a blunt as easily as you would buy a bottle of water from an office building vending machine? Well now, a Southern California company has pioneered a new and innovative way of acquiring your buds, edibles, extracts, CBD products and accessories.

green market report
greenbox, a new dispensary vending box hits the market
Dispensary owners are looking for ways to reduce their labor costs and customers have no patience for waiting lines at their local dispensary. So, robotic vending machines seem to be a good solution for both. Cannabis vending machines aren’t a new idea. Medbox began selling dispensary vending machines back in 2013 and 2014. The company though was charged with fraudulent revenue numbers and is no longer in business. M3Hub also makes a machine called Autospense. So far, the products haven’t had a big impact on the retail side, but that could change as the boxes get more advanced. This week, greenbox announced the launch of its intelligent kiosk. The company also revealed its first dispensary partners, including Sky Dispensaries and Erba Collective as well as shipping dates.
pot stocks, etfs, top news and data from the cannabis industry this week
A new company named greenbox Robotix, that fortunately appears to be light years more legit than MedBox, is gaining popularity in the legal weed landscape with their state-of-the-art touchscreen cannabis kiosk. Only located inside licensed cannabis dispensaries in legal states (for now), these machines aim to expedite the experience for the consumer, and maximize profit for the retailer – and there’s nothing wrong with that. Let’s face it; we’ve all probably had a less-than-impressive experience with a budtender or dispensary employee at one time or another. Traditionally, too many of them have been uninformed and/or unwilling to educate the consumer BUT a good budtender is worth their weight in gold, both to their boss and to the customers they help. So, much like at the airport or the grocery store (or a Redbox), greenbox offers savvy consumers the option to skip the line, skip the 1-on-1 experience, and just take care of business with a few taps of the touchscreen.
